Meanwhile, at the day’s briefing, BNP senior joint secretary general Rizvi claimed that ruling Awami League would ‘soon be extinct’ for its’ ‘excess arrogance, corruption, audacity, repression and falsehood’.
He made the remarks as a counter reply to Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader who on Friday said the BNP would become extinct if it does not take part in the upcoming general elections.
Rizvi said they (AL) themselves have turned into a big Dinosaur through excess power, corruption, audacity, repression and falsehood.
‘So you (AL) would soon be extinct,’ the BNP leader said.
He cautioned the AL general secretary that speaking about next general election to be held under prime minister Sheikh Hasina would be ‘futile’.
While calling Awami League ‘an empty vessel’, he said empty vessels sound much.
People raised voice to restore their voting rights and continued the struggle under the leadership of BNP chairperson Khaleda to take back lost democracy, he said.
