Fire at Shyambazar onion wholesale market
Fifteen shops were burnt in a fire that broke out at an onion wholesale market at Shyambazar in Sutrapur area of the capital on early Wednesday.
The fire originated at a wholesale shop of onions around 6:00am and it soon spread to adjoining ones, said Mohammad Alam, sub-inspector of Sutrapur police station.
On information, six firefighting units rushed in and doused the flame after half an hour of efforts around 6:30am.
However, the origin of the fire could not be known immediately.
