BNP forms human chain in Dhaka

Bangladesh Nationalist Party on Monday as part of the countrywide programme formed a human chain in Dhaka city demanding unconditional release of the party's imprisoned chairperson Khaleda Zia.

Leaders and activists of BNP and its front and associate organisations started to converge to the venue in front of National Press Club before scheduled time of beginning the one-hour human chain from 11:00am.

The human chain led by BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir formally began about 11:00am.
