Five killed as microbus hits tree

At least five people were killed a Sylhet-bound microbus hit a tree on Dhaka-Sylhet Highway at Birpasha of Bijaynagar in Brahmanbaria on Tuesday.

Khatihata highway police outpost officer-in-charge Md Hossain Sarker said the speeding microbus lost control and hit a tree and then fell down into a roadside ditch leaving five people dead on the spot at around 3:00pm.

The identities of the victims are yet to not be known.

Some more people also sustained injuries and they were rushed to Madhabpur Upazila Health Complex in Habiganj.
