Joy, Salman appointed advisers to PM
Salman Fazlur Rahman was appointed as her private industry and investment adviser while Sajeeb Wazed Joy was reappointed as the prime minister’s part time and honorary information and communication technology adviser.
The cabinet division published separate circulars in these regards on Tuesday.
One circular said that the prime minister had appointed Salman as her adviser under Rule 3B (1) of the Rules of Business, 1996.
He will have the rank of a minister without salary.
Salman was elected a member of parliament from Dhaka 1 constituency in the December 30 national polls.
A separate circular was issued in on Tuesday that said the prime minister had appointed Sajeeb Wazed Joy, also Sheikh Hasina’s son, as her adviser under the Rules of Business, 1996.
Joy would carry out his duties on the prime minister’s instructions and suggestions, according to the circular issued by director (administration) of the Prime Minister’s Office, M Ahsan Kibria Siddique.
