Kishoreganj 1, DNCC by-polls on Feb 28

The Election Commission on Tuesday decided to hold the by-election to Kishoreganj 1 parliamentary constituency and mayor post of Dhaka North City Corporation general and reserved councillors of Dhaka north and south city corporations on February 28.

The commission secretary Helal Uddin after a meeting of the commission said by-election to Kishoreganj 1 parliamentary constituency will be held at the death of Syed Ashraful Islam. Polling will be held on February 28, The last date of filing nomination is January 31, the nomination papers will be scrutinised on February 3 and the last date of withdrawing nomination paper is February 10.

He also said voting to Dhaka north and south city corporations will be held on February 28. The last date of filing nomination is January 30, the nomination papers will be scrutinised on February 2 and the last date of withdrawing nomination paper is February 9.
