Three German journalists beaten at Rohingya camp in Bangladesh
Four Journalists, including three Germans, were beaten by Rohingyas at Lombasiha of Kutupalong Rohingya camp under Ukhiya upazila in Cox’s BAzar on Thursday.
A police constable was also injured in the incident.
Injured German Journalists are Youcho Lyoli, Astatu Apal and Grands Stafo. Injured Bangladeshi journalist Mohammad Sihabuddin is head of production of private Television channel Boishakhi.
Cox’s Bazar superintendent of police ABM Masud Hossen said that six people, including four foreign and local journalists, were injured when a Rohingya mob attacked them at Lombashia in the afternoon.
The journalists were filming for a documentary for a German television. At one stage they were attacked by Rohingyas and law enforcers rescued them and rushed them to hospital. The Rohingya mob also damaged their vehicle and camera, Masud said.
