Yunus calls on youths for building ‘better world’

Founder of Grameen Bank, Nobel laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus, called on youths for building a better world during a recent visit to the Philippines, said a press release.
He attended the Social Business Youth Summit there in Manila. Organised by Social Business Youth Alliance, the summit opened with Yunus’s speech.
While in Manila, Professor Yunus also promoted his soon to be released book titled ‘A World of Three Zeros’, according to a release issued on Monday.
Addressing the summit, Yunus said youths would found a new civilization where full potential of human beings were explored through entrepreneurship and social business.
He said that in the new world, citizens would take care of their planet as well. 
Yunus also signed an MOU with Foundation University for opening Yunus Social Business Centre in the Philippines. 
On the second day of the summit, a microfinance forum was held which included a keynote speech by Yunus about the future of the microfinance movement.
The summit ended with Yunus’s speech. 
In his concluding speech, Yunus reminded youths about the dangers of artificial intelligence, wealth concentration, and environmental threat. He urged the audience to create a world of three zeros — zero poverty, zero unemployment, and zero net carbon emissions.
