Mahbub complains to EC against Regent Airways over VIP seat

Election Commissioner Mahbub Talukder has complained to the chief election commissioner that he and his wife were not given business class seats during their travel to Chattogram on a Regent Airways flight on June 27.

Mahbub Talikder said they were given economy class seats as the eight business class seats were seen occupied once he was on board on flight RX786.

In a note on July 2, Mahbub complained that his seats were given to another couple and the crew members could not explain the reason behind that.

Regent Airways chief operating officer Ashish Choudhury said they got a complaint over the issue and launched an inquiry.

He said their chief financial officer Hanif Zakaria would shortly meet the commissioner to say sorry for what had happened to him on the flight.
