Modi, Amit Shah, Ajit Doval on Jaish hit list
Prime minister Narendra Modi, union home minister Amit Shah and National Security adviser Ajit Doval are on the hit list of Pakistan-based terror group Jaish-e-Mohammad, reports India Today on Wednesday.
The Bureau of Civil Aviation Security recently received a letter which said the terror group was planning to target Modi, Amit Shah and NSA Doval over the abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir.
The threat letter also spoke about revenge for the Indian government’s move to abrogate Article 370.
After the letter claimed that Modi, Amit Shah and NSA Ajit Dival were on the hit list of Pakistan-based terror groups, the authorities issued an alert.
In the letter, Jaish-e-Mohammad also threatened to attack 30 cities, including Jammu, Pathankot, Amritsar, Jaipur, Gandhinagar, Kanpur, Lucknow. The letter further stated that Jaish was planning to strike four airports as well.
As per a report, Jaish-e-Mohammad is also readying a squad to target Modi, Ajit Doval and Amit Shah in retaliation to the government’s moved in J&K.
Earlier, there had been reports that Lashkar-e-Taiba was planning a terror attack in Modi’s constituency Varanasi.
LeT, led by Hafiz Saeed, had reportedly been making attempts to establish a base in Uttar Pradesh’s Varanasi — the Lok Sabha constituency of Narendra Modi.
As per an intelligence report, a major conspiracy was being hatched by the LeT terrorists to attack Varanasi for which they are trying to establish their base in the city.
