Meghna launch collision kills one, injures 15
An unidentified man was killed and 15 were injured when two passenger launches collided on the River Meghna in Sonargaon upazila of Narayanganj on early Saturday.
The head-on collision between Dhaka-bound MV Manik 4 and Chandpur-bound MV Bogdadia 13 also left five persons missing, said Md Mostafik, the officer-in-charge of Kolagachhia river police outpost.
Details about the victims could not be known immediately while the divers went on a rescue mission, he said.
