Zafrullah Chowdhury tests negative for COVID-19

Gonoshasthaya Kendra founder and trustee board member Zafrullah Chowdhury tested negative for COVID-19 in a test with GK Rapid Dot Blot kit on Saturday, said GK Dialysis Centre coordinator Muhib Ullah Khandaker.

Gonoshasthaya Samaj Vittik Medical Collage vice-principle and also coordinator of GK’s Rapid Dot Blot kit development programme Mohib Ullah Khondoker told New Age that in the test Zafrullah found negative for COVID-19 antigen and positive for COVID-19  antibody.

GK in a statement on its Facebook page quoting physician Mamun Mustafi said that Zafrullah’s inflammation in lungs and throat improved and he was feeling much better gradually.

Zarullah is undergoing at Gonoshasthaya Kendra Nagar Hospital at the capital’s Dhanmondi.

Zafrullah tested positive for COVID-19 firstly in a GK Rapid Dot Blot kit test on May 24.

Later, he was also tested in PCR test and found same infection result. He had been under oxygen support at the same hospital for respiratory problems he faced on June 4.
