40 Bangladeshi pilgrims injured in Makkah

At least 40 Bangladeshi pilgrims were injured as a huge construction crane collapsed and crashed onto the Grand Mosque in Makkah in Saudi Arabia on Friday, killing 87 hajj pilgrims.
‘Three of the 40 injured Banglashis were admitted to a hospital in critical conditions and many others left hospital after getting first aid,’ Bangladesh ambassador to Saudi Arabia Golam Moshi told New Age over phone.
New agencies reported that 184 people were injured.
Over 65,000 Bangladeshi hajj pilgrims so far reached Jeddah since the beginning of hajj flights in mid August, officials concerned said.
This year, 1,01,758 Bangladeshi pilgrims are scheduled for travelling to Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj.
