Three cops on fresh remand in Maj Sinha murder case

The Rapid Action Battalion took three policemen in its custody for four days on Saturday morning for questioning them regarding the murder of retired Major Sinha Rashed Khan.

The three policemen are — Nurul Amin, Nizam Uddin, and Md Ayas.

Cox’s Bazar district superintendent of police Mokammel Hossain told New Age that a team of RAB officials took the three from the district jail in the morning.

On August 25, RAB-15 investigation officer in the case senior assistant police superintendent Khairul Islam took them to senior judicial magistrate court and requested the court put a seven-day remand on them.

Judge Tamanna Farah passed the order and put a four-day remand on each of the three.

Earlier, they were remanded for seven days which ended on August 20.
