Teesta Treaty is on Mamata Banerjee’s hand

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s third time victory in West Bengal has a high impact on Teesta river agreement according to Tritiyo matra on Tuesday..
The guest Ayanansh Maitra, journalist and Fellow of CGS said, when Manmohan Singh visited Bangladesh for Teesta agreement, Mamata Banerjee did not agree with his decision, so the agreement did not see the light.
If India provides water in Bangladesh’s twenty two rivers, India will suffer from lack of water of their own river in near future. That is the reason Mamata Banerjee did not consent to this agreement. The Chief Minister of West Bengal will play a key role again by being elected third time.
Opposing that, Core Committee of Trinamool, Om Prakash Mishra said,West Bengal does not have a different stand for this treaty. All these Teesta treaty issues are selected through an understanding between the governments of all States in India.
The third time victory of Trinamool addressing that people of Bengal do not like the BJP's aggressive Hindutva. NRC Played a big role in losing seats in the election for BJP. This victory will influence a huge role in the upcoming national election of India, said Tanmoy Bhattacharya of CPIM.
He also requested the Prime Minister to stop political violence which took place after the result was announced in states.
On the other hand, West Bengal general secretary of BJP Sayantan Basu said, The Citizenship Amendment Act has already been passed in the parliament. Government will issue a gazette within the next three to four months regarding this act. As it has already passed in parliament, it must be applied as soon as possible.
