3 Dhaka hospitals to administer Pfizer Covid vaccine from Monday

Three hospitals in the capital city of Bangladesh, Dhaka, are going to administer Pfizer-BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine from Monday.

The Directorate General of health Services announced this at an online press conference on Sunday afternoon.

Bangladesh received a total of 100,620 doses of the vaccine on May 31.

‘Initially, the vaccine will be administered on 120 people at each of the three hospitals – Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University, Sheikh Russel Gastro Liver Institute and Hospital and Kurmitola General Hospital,’ said DGHS line director Md Shamsul Haque.

The first recipients of the Pfizer vaccine will be observed for seven to 10 days before the administration of it begin in full swing, said Shamsul.
