Bangladesh should have stayed away from international vaccine politics and it should have looked at alternatives of other vaccines along with AstraZeneca.

Government should have tried to bring other vaccines rather than only rely on India which was addressed at Tritiyo Matra on Sunday (20-06-21).

Major Zillur Rahman (Retd.), Editor and Security Analyst of Gennews24.com said, Bangladesh could not bring other vaccines by the pressure of one leading person of the medicine industry which was also indicated by foreign minister according to him.

He indicated the Government should have considered other sources instead of considering nepotism, party affiliation, personal affiliation and company affiliation.

At the same time, a strong world politics about medicine is around the world. All of the vaccine procurement and manufacturing companies are affiliated with the United States. USA has made an arrangement that they have taken control of the majority of vaccines so at first stage, Bangladesh needed to activate the diplomatic channel rather than only depending on India.

He also alluded to give proper training to those who will give vaccines among people.

Other navigator Mizanur Rahman, Chairman and CEO of Bestway Group emphasized to create awareness among people for wearing masks, sanitization and social distancing.

On the other hand he addressed that the Government should give great importance to the SME sector. There is system loss in the health sector. To minimize this corruption, this sector needs work on capacity development.

However, Budget should increase more in the education sector. The government should invest to provide technical education from class eight to graduation level.

The Digital Security Act is needed but it should be implemented by discussing with stakeholders and media, according to him.
