7 detained at Heathrow for unruly act on Biman flight from Sylhet
Seven passengers of a flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines were detained after reaching the Heathrow International Airport from the Sylhet Osmani International Airport on May 25, officials said on Monday.
Biman’s managing director and chief executive officer Dr Abu Saleh Mostafa Kamal told New Age that he was yet to ascertain their nationality.
The matter related to scuffle went viral on social media.
He said that they had come to know that it all started when the leg of a passenger touched another passenger who was sitting in the next row.
The direct flight took off from Sylhet Osmani International Airport.
The Biman CEO described the incident ‘embarrassing’.
He said that Biman cabin crew acted as per the standard operational procedure, and informed the respective authorities after landing the plane at London’s Heathrow Airport.
