College student killed in city road accident

A college student was killed in a road accident at Gani Road of Shahbag in Dhaka on early Tuesday.

The deceased was identified as Md Mohaiminul Islam Sifat, 21, son of Md Hanif Khandokar, and a student of BM Shahin College in Dhaka.

the victim’s friend Fuad said that a truck hit Sifat’s motorcycle from behind in Gani Road area at about 1:15am, leaving him seriously injured.

He was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead.

DMCH police camp in-charge Bachchu Miah said that the body was kept at the hospital morgue for post-mortem examinations.
