DB arrests ex-state minister for planning Shamsul Alam

A team of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police detective branch arrested Shamsul Alam, former state minister for planning during the tenure of the ousted Awami League government, in the capital’s Mohammadpur area on Wednesday night.

DMP DB joint commissioner for South and admin Mohammad Nasirul Islam said that their team arrested him at about 11:30pm on Wednesday.

‘He is now in custody at DB office at Mintoo Road in Dhaka. We are yet to fix the case in which he will be shown arrested,’ he said.
