Mother killed 2 Banasree siblings:RAB

Rapid Action Battalion officials on Thursday said the mother of the siblings killed inside their rented apartment at Banasree in the city on Monday herself killed them ‘out of frustration.’
RAB had detained the parents and an aunt of the siblings from their village home in Jamalpur on Wednesday and interrogated them.
Mahfuza Malek Jesmin, 35, confessed to the investigators that she alone killed Nusrat Jahan Arani, 14, and her brother Alvi Aman, 6, strangulating them with her scarf at around 5:30pm on Monday, said Colonel Ziaul Ahsan, additional director general of RAB.
Mahfuza attributed frustration, problems in martial life as reason for the murder.
Details of the gruesome killed would be given at a news conference, RAB said.
Police were dubious about the family’s claim about the reason of the ‘deaths’ and collected forensic evidence as the post-mortem examinations found marks of ‘violence’ in the bodies.
