Tonu’s body exhumed for fresh autopsy

The authorities on Wednesday exhumed the body of college student Sohagi Jahan Tonu to conduct fresh post mortem examination 10 days after she was raped and murdered inside Comilla Cantonment area.
Earlier on Monday additional chief judicial magistrate’s court in Comilla ordered to exhume the body as investigators prayed for a fresh autopsy.
The work of exhume started around 10:30am at Mirzapur in Muradnagar.
Meanwhile Tonu’s family and father expressed their disappointment over the fresh autopsy.
Talking to the reporters Tonu’s father questioned, ‘Was the previous autopsy report wrong? Why this fresh post-mortem examination?’
Comilla Victoria College student and cultural activist, Tonu was found dead inside the Comilla Cantonment on the night of March 20.
