Narayanganj school committee sacks publicly humiliated headmaster

The management committee of Piar Sattar Latif High School at Kalyandi of Narayanganj has suspended its headmaster Shyamal Kanti Bhakta who was publicly humiliated by local MP Selim Osman on charge of hurting religious sentiment.
Shyamal Kanti got the suspension letter being admitted to a hospital after that humiliation.
The letter signed by management committee chairman Fakhrul Islam said he was suspended for four offences of administering corporal punishment on students, collecting money in the name of providing job, making derogatory remarks on Islam and remain absent without leave and attending school late.
Copy of the letter was also sent to local MP Selim Osman.
Shyamal Kanit is now undergoing treatment at 300-Bed Hospital at Khanpur.
He told newsmen that the entire episode was a stage-managed drama centring conflict between him and the management committee.
