BCL factional clash leaves 6 injured in Ctg

The injured are Nijhum, Monir, Humayun, Parvez, Bishawjit and Saimun. Of them Nijhum, who was wounded with bullet, Monir and Huanyun were sent to Chittagong Medical College and Hospital, said the hospital sources.
Sources on the campus said BCL activists, led by Suvash Mollik and Mahmudul Karim, loyal to Awami League Chittagong city unit president ABM Mohiuddin Chowdhury, and others, led by Limon, loyal to the unit AL general secretary AJM Nasir Uddin, engaged in a clash over establishing supremacy on the campus.
The two groups chased each other around 2:00pm, firing several shots.
Chawk Bazar police officer-in-charge Aziz Ahmed said police brought the situation under control.
