Juba League leader shot dead in city

Assailants shot a leader of Awami Juba League, youth front of ruling Awami League, to death at Sutrapur in Dhaka early Saturday.
The deceased was Rajib Hossain alias Jamai Rajib, finance secretary of Dhaka city (south) unit Juba League.
Duty officer Nazmul Haq of Sutrapur police station said miscreants shot at him at Rokanpur third lane around 12:30am after Rajib went out of his house responding to a phone call.
Locals rushed him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital in critical condition where physicians declared him dead, the duty officer added.
