M Amanullah (16 March 1939 – 11 March 2021) was a Bangladesh Awami League politician, Former State Minister and former Member of Parliament from Mymensingh-11 (Bhaluka) constituency. He was elected from Mymensingh-11 in the Seventh, Eighth, Nineth and Tenth Parliament election. He was the State Minister of Health and Family Welfare.
Amanullahl was born in Mahamudpur Thana of Bhaluka Upazila under Mymensingh district. He went to medical school and completed MBBS degree. After that he earned MRCPI, MRCP, FRCP, FRCPI, FCPS and FESC degrees.
Amanullah was elected the first Member of Parliament in 1996 in the 8th Parliamentary Election on the nomination of Bangladesh Awami League. In 1996, he became the Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare in the Awami League government. He was re-elected as a Member of Parliament from Mymensingh-11 constituency in 2001, 2008 and 2014. During his tenure in the Ninth Parliament, he was a member of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Petitions and the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. He did not participate in the Eleventh Parliamentary Election of 2018 as he was not nominated.
Amanullah was the President of Bhaluka Upazila Awami League. He was an advisor to the former Central Swechasebak League. He was also the former president of the Asia Cardiac Association and the founder of Saira-Safayet School and College.
Amanullah died on February 11, 2021 at Labaid Hospital in the capital under treatment.
