Police charge baton, use water cannon on dental students

Police on Wednesday dispersed a demonstration of students of Dhaka Dental College charging baton and using water cannon.The students were demonstrating in front of the press club to press for their four-point charter of demands prior to submission of a memorandum to health ministry. Police also arrested at least 15 students from the spot.

On the way to the ministry police blocked the procession of the students and the students vandalised some vehicles, reports our correspondent.Shah Alam, sub-inspector of Shahbagh police station said they were disturbing the peace and vandalized some vehicles so police used water canon to bring situation under control.
