Fire guts 58 shops, houses in Rangamati
Around 58 shops and houses were gutted as a fire broke out at Korolyachhari Bazar of Langadu in Rangamati early Tuesday.
Fire service sources said that the fire broke out around 1:00am from an electric short circuit.
Later, the fire engulfed 58 shops and houses of the bazar.
On information, two fire fighting units from Dighinala and Khargrachhari rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control after two hours of frantic efforts.
The loss of the fire was estimated around TK 2 crore, claimed the victims.
Mehedi Hasan, executive magistrate of the upazila, visited the spot.
