There is no projection in the race, but Democratic candidate Conor Lamb is claiming victory early this morning.

After telling supporters, "We did it," Lamb told a cheering crowd, "Tonight we celebrate regaining our voice and our vote in the great business of governing this country we love."

Lamb holds a lead of 579 votes, with 1,398 absentee votes still outstanding.

Note: CNN is not projecting a winner at this point, and GOP candidate Rick Saccone is not conceding the race yet either.
