Fakhrul lands in jail soon after being BNP secy gen
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday sent the just made secretary general of Bangladesh Nationalist Party Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir to jail in two violence cases.
Fakhrul surrendered before the court and prayed bail in three violence cases filed against him with Paltan police station.
Metropolitan Magistrate Golam Nabi rejected Fakhrul’s bail pleas in two cases and sent him jail while the court granted bail in another case.
The cases were filed against the BNP leader for instigating Hefajat-e Islam demonstration and violence at Motijheel in the city in 2014.
