Khulna jute mills workers get wage of 2 weeks

The workers of seven state-run jute mills in Khulna region got arrear wage of two weeks on Thursday and the remaining arrears in wage would be paid on Sunday.
The convener of CBA-Non-CBA workers union, Sohrab Hossain, said the allocated money for paying arrears in wage has already reached Khulna but the entire amount could not be withdrawn from banks because of public holiday.
He said wages of two weeks have been paid on Thursday.
The workers called off their strike after a meeting  with jute minister and state minister in Dhaka on Wednesday afternoon.
