Shafik Rehman held in case of conspiring to abduct Joy

Plainclothes people claiming them members of detective branch of police arrested up Bangladesh Nationalist Party chairperson’s adviser Shafik Rehman from his Eskaton home in Dhaka on Saturday morning.
Shafik’s wife Taleya Rahman said the people came to their home and took away Shafik at around 8:00am, said BNP chairperson’s press wing member Syrul Kabir Khan.
Later detective branch’s Dhaka south division deputy commissioner Mashrukur Rahman Khaled said Shafik has been arrested in a case filed with Paltan police station over conspiracies to abduct the prime minister’s son Sajeeb Wazed Joy.
