Octane, petrol price goes down by Tk 10; diesel, kerosene by Tk 3

The government on Sunday reduced the prices of petrol and octane by Tk 10 while diesel and kerosene by Tk 3.
Senior information officer Mir Mohammad Aslam Uddin of the ministry of power and energy confirmed the new rates while talking to New Age.
The new price of octane will stand at Tk 89, petrol at Tk 86 per litre. Prices of kerosine and diesel will be Tk 65 per litre.
Earlier, state minister for power and energy Nasrul Hamid on Sunday said the new prices of fuel oils would come into force after midnight.
Hamid did not spell out the new rates he was talking to reporters at his secretariat office in the afternoon. A gazette in this connection would be released in the evening, he said.
The government last time made upward adjustment in prices of petrol, octane, kerosene and diesel in January 2013.
