BCL man hacked dead in infighting in Barisal
An activist of Bangladesh Chhatra League, student wing of ruling Awami League, was hacked to death and three others injured in Barisal on Friday night over internal feud.
The victim was identified as Rezaul Karim Reza, 28, a member on the district unit Chhatra League. The injured were Mehedi, Sohag and Purna.
The injured said a group of Chhatra League men led by Saiful, Rakib and Jakir swooped on them with sharp weapons when they were entering the campus of Barisal Polytechnic Institute around 10:00pm.
They were rushed to Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital where Reza succumbed to his injuries.
Mehedi was sent to Dhaka for better treatment, our correspondent reported.
