12 injured as factions of Ulema League clash in city
At least 12 people were injured in a factional clash of Ulema League, ruling Awami League-backed Islamic clerics’ organisation, in front of National Press Club, in the capital on Saturday. SUNDERBANS MARCH : Police attack DLA rally in Manikganj
Police attacked a street rally of the Democratic Left Alliance in Manikganj on Friday as they set out their road march demanding scrapping of Rampal power plant project near the Sunderbans. The marchers reached Manikganj from Dhaka around 2:30pm when police barred them from holding a rally saying that they had no permission for holding a rally.
N’GANJ 7 KILLING : Court in India orders Noor’s extradition
A district court in India ordered on Friday extradition of Narayanganj seven-murder prime suspect Noor Hossain to Bangladesh by December 15.The Barasat Chief Judicial Magistrates’ Court in North 24 Pargana district of West Bengal in India passed the order as it withdrew trespassing charge against him, United News of Bangladesh reported.
